What does a Stephen Minister do?
- Offers Christian Friendship and Love
- Keeps confidence
Who may benefit by having a Stephen Minister? People experiencing illness, family frustrations and challenges, loneliness, chronic illness, families of the chronically ill, loss of a loved one, separation or divorce, being shut-in, new baby, terminal illness, low self-esteem, loss of a job, financial setbacks, struggling with faith in God, aging, facing changes in their lives, hospitalization, grief, or anxiety.
How do you get a Stephen Minister or learn more about it? Contact Pastor Paul at the church office, 972-618-2233, or send an email to Stephen Leaders, Kathy Miller at PMLC.StephenLeader@gmail.com.
“Please keep this confidential…” When you say these words to your Stephen Minister, you can be assured your Stephen Minister will keep quiet about what you share. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of Stephen Ministry. Stephen Ministers don’t reveal anything their care receiver says—and don’t even tell anyone who their care receiver is. For more information, contact a pastor or Stephen Leader.
